As the Robins return and the ground is revealed, I am finding myself feeling the need to pay closer than normal attention to the shift of the seasons. I have spent years making notes in my journals about the feelings of these transitions in the seasons. Each one holds different lessons and ways to learn more about being human and living in this world.

Of all the transitions, though, Winter to Spring is the hardest to absorb, face, and enjoy, or at least so I thought. In the last few years, I have fallen in love with this messy and complicated time of dancing between hibernation and growth. I have learned why this season is uncomfortable and how important it is to absorb and observe it.
